When calling around to get quotes on paint protection film, find out who actually does the work , not just how long they’ve been in business. Twenty years in business means nothing when the installer has little to no experience.

There are MANY things that make the big difference in the quality of your Invisibra. Here are a few of the more important:

  • Invisibra Material: There are several companies making quality clear paint protection film. Most companies have high quality films available with 5-7 year warranties, or longer. They will not turn yellow with time, crack, or peel, IF properly installed and cared for. Invisibra only uses the highest quality films that provide the best warranties for the consumer. Yes, the image on the right is a clear bra using an inferior material.
  • Pre-cut Invisibra Kits: Some companies offer computer cut patterns that are made for certain vehicles with the intent of letting the customer try to install their own clear bra paint protection. However, we at Invisibra, have found that these kits quite often do not fit very well, even if installed by an experienced professional. We custom cut the Invisibra to fit YOUR vehicle, at the time of the install, so that a perfect fit can be guaranteed every time. Over the years kits have improved in protection coverage.  While we, at Invisibra, prefer the coverage of custom installs, we are able to install a kit if the customer prefers.  Also look here.
  • Edge Gaps: Poorly  installed pre-cut kits, may  have large, ugly gaps along the sides and leading edge of the hood. At Invisibra, we "roll the edges" whenever possible. This means the clear bra film is cut oversize and rolled over the edges, so that it not only looks better, but protects all the way around the leading edge of the hood. Look at the following pictures, and see which YOU think looks better. The picture to the right shows a typical KIT install, the two just below it are Invisibra installs with the film wrapped over the edges. Click on the pictures for a closer look.
  • Rounded Corners: Look again at the pictures on the side, and notice that the film is brought to a very sharp point on the Silver car. This is not a good install because when washing the car it’s MUCH more likely that your wash rag is going to snag that corner and make the clear bra peel back from the paint. At Invisibra, we always round off any corners, as seen on the burgundy car, so that they are much less likely to peel.
  • Seams: In some circumstances a seem is necessary, if a car has some very extreme contours to follow while applying the clear bra material. The last picture on the right, however, shows a very poor place to put a seam. In this case the car is an Audi A-4, and the hood on these cars carries down and under the grill. You can clearly see where another shop put a seam just below the edge of the hood and used a second piece of film to do the bottom half of the grill piece. You can also see how the film is peeling back a little bit, which is another reason to avoid seams whenever possible. Invisibra does this entire section in one piece, not two like in this picture. You can also see how the fit of this clear bra is very poor along the edges of the hood.
  • Deep Cuts: If a company or shop is careless or inexperienced with installing Invisibra, then it is possible they could cut into your paint or even down to the metal when cutting out the material. We've even seen where a car's hood started to rust where the Invisibra was cut and the knife went all the way through the film, paint, and into the metal hood. With many years of experience, Invisibra takes the proper care not to damage your vehicle while installing the Invisibra.
  • Dirt & Contamination: Proper cleaning of the painted surfaces to be protected is critical to the finished product lasting and looking good. Not only dirt but tar, road grime, and bug splatters should all be cleaned off first. Invisibra takes all the steps necessary to make sure all the parts receiving the Invisibra are properly cleaned and ready for the film.
  • Creases & Distortions: If not handled with care and experience, you can have some very ugly, detracting creases in the Invisibra causing distortions, and ugly distractions. On cars with compound curves, some stretching and working of the film is necessary in getting it to adhere to multi-curved surfaces, but distortions should still be kept to a minimum. Also understand that the darker the car's paint color, the more noticeable any distortions will be.
