Many people have questions when researching or scheduling a clear bra installation.  Here is a list of useful things to keep in mind.

 

Please remember that it is Paint Protection, not Paint Perfection.  

Does this mean that Invisibra does not take the utmost care in making your clearbra as invisible as possible? Not at all, it is what our reputation is based on & that of which we are most proud!  However, just like a beautiful, sparkling diamond, if you examine it close enough for imperfections, you will most likely find them.  There may be minute flaws in the film, or a spec of dust that found its way in, or flaws in the paint that you didn’t notice previously.  We have, on many occasions during installation, removed the flawed or contaminated film and started over, but it still does not mean that any installation will be absolutely perfect.  We are sure you will appreciate our high attention to detail and we, in turn, appreciate your reasonableness.

 

Please bring your car clean and ready for installation.  

I do a final cleaning before installing the film, but I do not have a detail shop (although I know of a good one!).  And remember, the dirtier your car is when you bring it in, the more chance there will be dirt specs under the film.  If you choose to have it buffed or detailed prior to installation, please give attention to cleaning buffing dust out of the crevasses (under headlights, where body panels meet, etc.) prior to installation.

 

Please do not wax your car between now an the appointment.  

You can wax right over the film and your paint after installation, but doing so prior to installation makes it more time consuming for the film to properly adhere directly to the paint.

 

Please examine closely the areas that will be protected for any existing rock chips or issues with the paint.  

If these need corrected before applying the film, please do so.  If there are just a few chips that need touched up, please bring touch up paint so I can fill them in before installing the film.

 

If you car has recently been repainted, please note that it is recommended to let the paint cure for 15-30 days prior to installing paint protection film.

 

Try to avoid highway driving, tailgating, and aggressive driving between now and your appointment to avoid getting more chips in your paint.

 

Installation timeframes:

Average custom installations take between 7-8 hours for partial hood/fenders/bumper/etc & would like to keep it for a full workday.  If you're doing the entire front end, it takes 12-15 hours and we would like to keep it overnight.  Either way, please arrange for the car to be dropped off if at all possible, as our lobby is quite boring to sit in all day.
